Job Overview
The Sectoral Expert – LSM will serve as a key contributor to the modernization and expansion of Pakistan’s industrial base. This role involves policy diagnostics, sectoral planning, value chain development, and strategic collaboration with international institutions such as UNIDO, ADB, and the World Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth diagnostics of the LSM sector, including productivity and export competitiveness.
- Develop 5-year and 6–18 month development roadmaps aligned with Vision 2025.
- Recommend tax, tariff, and industrial policies based on global best practices.
- Collaborate with SEZs and industrial parks for tech-intensive clusters.
- Engage SMEs into LSM value chains via supplier programs and digitalization.
- Advise on innovation systems, Industry 4.0 integration, and technology transfer.
- Liaise with multilateral partners for industrial upgrading initiatives.
- Prepare strategy documents, technical reports, and M&E frameworks.
- Support MoIP departments and provide strategic input on national policy.
